The University of Alabama College Republicans exists to educate and empower a new generation of conservatives to lead the way in the renewal of America.

UACR strives to be the premier student political organization in the country. By offering unparalleled training and experience to its members, the group is preparing the next generation of conservative leaders.

In 2011-2012, UACRs will have the opportunity to participate in a ground-breaking partnership with the Alabama Policy Institute. This partnership will offer the group’s members a unique look at the policy process and give them a chance to get in the trenches, researching and drafting policy that can make a substantive difference in Alabama.

College Republicans have a rich history of campus activism, grassroots campaigning, and welcoming politicians and speakers to campus. Nationally, College Republicans count among their alumni some of the preeminent politicians and operatives of their time including U.S. President Calvin Coolidge, Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, and the founder of Americans for Tax Reform, Grover Norquist.
